Personal AI Earns Coveted Spot in Microsoft for Startups’ Pegasus Program
San Diego, CA – August 21, 2025 – Personal AI, the San Diego-founded startup pioneering Small Language Models with roots at the University of California San Diego, announced it has been selected to join Microsoft for Startups’ exclusive Pegasus Program.
Pegasus is an invitation-only initiative from Microsoft designed to help high-potential startups scale by providing access to enterprise customers, co-selling opportunities with Microsoft’s sales teams, and deep technical enablement on Azure. According to Microsoft’s 2023 announcement of the Pegasus Program, in its pilot phase the initiative had already helped over 100 startups land enterprise customers, with an average deal size of $350,000.
Participation in the Pegasus Program gives Personal AI access to Microsoft’s enterprise sales channels, dedicated cloud architects, and significant platform credits, positioning the company to scale its enterprise AI solutions globally. The program also emphasizes go-to-market momentum by pairing startups with Microsoft’s seasoned industry advisors, ensuring technology is matched with strategic customers.
Personal AI, founded in 2020, has developed proprietary models known as the Generative Grounded Transformers and Small Language Models (SLMs), which allow organizations to build secure, evolving AI personas trained on private, proprietary knowledge rather than public datasets. These AI systems are designed to streamline workflows, multiply productivity, and offer memory-capable intelligence tailored to enterprise needs.
