Welcome New Member

Your membership to this dynamic community will provide you with a host of benefits, some of which require logging in with your Active Directory (AD) account info. To take advantage of all your member benefits, like accessing our space reservation system, the EC member website, as well as your university email, you need to take the following steps to become fully active in our systems:

 

Retrieve Your AD Account 

First, you need to retreive your welcome email, which details your AD account login and temporary password. If you cannot find it, please contact innovation@ucsd.edu and we can assist you with this.

 

Reset Your Temporary Password

The password we gave you is only temporary and must be changed before using any UC San Diego network services. Please note a password change can take up to 30 minutes to process. To reset your password, go to password.ucsd.edu.

 

Set Up Two-Step Login

As part of our enhanced security around your AD account, you will also require the use of Two-Step Login via the Duo Mobile App. This multi-factor authentication process utilizes your mobile device to ensure your identity, thereby deterring unauthorized access to your account. The process to register and use is quite simple. To enable Two-Step Login on your mobile device, go to twostep.ucsd.edu.

 

What Can I Do Now?

Once you have reset your AD password and enabled Two-Step Login on your mobile device, you are good to go. Here are a few things you now can do with your AD account. 

Members Website

We have developed a members only website, where you can find all the relevant information you need as a member, including how to reserve space on the fourth floor of the Design & Innovation Building, and where to access our exclusive startup database. Take me to the EC Members website. 

Space Reservation

Take advantage of our easy-to-use reservation system to gain exclusive access to our available EC spaces on the fourth floor of the DIB during normal business hours (excluding university holidays). We offer crowd-free, distraction-free spaces, furnished to brainstorm, hold meetings, collaborate and innovate. Members also enjoy shared amenities, flexible meeting rooms, whiteboards, WiFi, and HDTVs. All you need is your laptop, adapters, and/or other electronic devices to support your work.

Startup Database

Looking to gain exclusive access to UC San Diego's database of new startup opportunities to start a conversation or explore investment opportunities today? Our Startup Database is available through our EC Members website. 

Podcast Studio

Enjoy easy access to our newly built podcast studio on the fourth floor, a dedicated boutique studio experience for recording your content. The studio can accommodate up to four mic'd guests at a time. Learn more. 

Exchange Online

Your Exchange Online (Office 365 E-mail) account is now accessible. Check my university email via outlook.com/ucsd.edu.
